I'm more like the GPS and the radio in your car when you're on a road trip. If your destination is being in great shape, I know how to get you there. And, like a solid music playlist, I'll keep you entertained along the way.
My philosophy about fitness is, frankly, that it should be predictable and a bit boring -- if you're doing it right. It's a concrete science that's based on math, after all. And the gym stuff should be challenging and fun - - not traumatizing. There's no magic routine. It's just a brutally honest numbers game playing on repeat while we entertain ourselves with some weight-lifting.
Patience, honesty between you and your trainer, and a masterfully crafted plan are what you want to have. And I'll adapt to whatever you need me to be for you to best succeed--whether that's a hard-ass to hold you to account and expect more, a friend to help you up when you're missing the mark, or an unlicensed therapist to help you ventilate and solve some problems. We'll design the path, clear the way, and get there safely and on time.
